This is actually a Christmas decor, but this bell has been a big part of our everyday meal ritual. We ring this bell to inform the household that meal time is ready.
The kids would wash their hands and run to the table, no matter what they do; the same with me and my husband.
For the kids, it is a privilege to ring the bell themselves. They can ring the bell when they help in preparing the meal or by setting up the table.
