Dressing Room

I was trying on clothes and she wanted to try them on, too. Her is IC struggling with a dress hundred times too big for her.

I was surprised to discover that IC was wearing the wrong pair of socks yesterday.

We were already enjoying our day in the city when I found out.

I asked her: 'Did you know that you are wearing the wrong pair of socks?'
IC: 'No, they are not wrong. They have the same color.'

Admittedly, they are both pink. The other one is darker, though.

Skateboards

The kids got their skateboards yesterday despite my misgivings. Papa just cant resist buying one for each. And I cant resist displaying my little knowledge -- balancing acts. That's easy! And running right smack into the wall, haha-

Smiley Sunny

Because they wanted to stay in the garden and play, I discovered the kids furiously drawing smiling sunny faces to wave away the drizzle. Sweet, right?

Banana Tree

And now presenting, our banana tree in the garden. Who would have thought we'd have one in Germany? Not me. It would be fun to wait for the banana harvest :-)

More Dots

Just look at her. This is easy to do: you need a glue and some paper cut outs in dots. First stick the dots on the glue bottle and paste them on your face. 'Mama, dont you think I look like Pippi Lam? Aaargh. And we are supposed to be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary with a dinner that night. I freed her face from the dots, but the glue is still visible on her face until now!

The Kids on Kid's Day

Collecting, collecting, collecting. Accepting, accepting, accepting. Extending hands, cupping hands, smiling and saying thank you's -- the kids' highlight of the day; more sweets for my two sweets!

Oh not to forget the carousel rides and the bump cars!

More Parade Images

And the parade goes on and on and on -- with the kiddie theater and gymnastic groups; the wine princesses from different towns, the fire brigade's band and the assorted clubs and associations.

Beer, Wine and Fingerfoods

Definitely satisfied, the crowd wouldnt go home hungry nor thirsty -- there were glasses of beer, wine and trays of fingerfood being distributed in every step.

The Colorful Band

The Guggemusiker band, displaying their colors. Under the heat of the summer sun, walking long kilometers, with such thick costumes on -- I admire them. They even made few exhibition stops to wow the crowd during the parade at the town fiesta.

The Big Swing

MC and papa doing the big swing. There are a lot of things that I would gladly do and enjoy with the kids, but swinging on this thing? No way!

Cotton Candy Girl

IC is my cotton candy girl. She wanted cotton candy, a big one please! She hold on it, pinched and lapped -- the whole long walk to inspect the amusement mile. She only let go of it when she went for rides, but, she makes sure that it is securely tied up so that nobody could sneak a pinch while she's gone.

I love cotton candy as a child, too.

Stretch Limousine

Everybody's eyes followed with amazement while a stretch limousine came gliding as we wait for the parade to begin the city's four-day fair (kerwe) last week. We waited in awe for the celebrity to expose herself/himself -- (drum rolling....) out stepped the chauffeur, driver doesnt seem fitting, opened the trunk for the red carpet and laid it down. Excitement is brewing. Inside were the boys of the kerwe, presenting themselves with style! We are all impressed, hmm. I havent seen one up close, really!
